In a world full of fuzz pedals and overdrives, coming up with something a little different is a challenge. I wanted my next limited edition pedal to be something that sounded beautiful, but different from anything else available.
I got to thinking about some of my favorite players – Jeff Beck, Bill Frisell etc They all have such an incredibly expressive style on their instrument. Reflecting on their playing, I got to thinking about their use of the volume control – specifically the swelling of the volume control run into a delay – that “cello-y” sort of sound.
This is what Vesperia offers – it’s a volume swell into a delay. Think Jeff Beck playing “Somewhere over the rainbow” or Eddie Van Halen’s “Cathedral” – but without the need to manually swell the volume.
Vesperia is not an effect for everyone – but it offers a creative palate unavailable in any other single pedal. Vesperia will allow you to create sounds that other players are not able to achieve.
With controls for Gate and Swell, as well as Delay time, Feedback and Mix, Vesperia is ultimately three guitar effects in one box – a volume swell effect, a gorgeous delay and then also a noise gate (you can set the volume swell section to act as a gate).
You can use each of these effects separately or together.
It’s incredibly versatile and opens a door for you, the player, to new tonal expressions.
